Privacy Policy

1. Overview

TechBooster Pty Ltd is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect the minimum data required to deliver our services. The ReceiptsBox application is designed to function entirely on-device — no personal data is ever transmitted to our servers or any third-party service.

2. Data Collected by the ReceiptsBox App

ReceiptsBox does not require you to create an account, and does not collect, transmit or store any personal data on external servers. All data remains on your device at all times.

3. Device Permissions

ReceiptsBox may request the following iOS permissions. You will be prompted by iOS before any permission is granted, and you may revoke access at any time in your device Settings.

• Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription)

  Used solely to photograph receipts for OCR text extraction within the app. Photos are processed on-device and never uploaded.

• Photo Library (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription)

  Allows you to import existing receipt images from your photo library. Images are processed on-device only.

4. Local Data Storage

All receipt images, extracted text, category assignments and other app data are stored exclusively in the local storage of your iOS device. This data is:

• Never transmitted to TechBooster servers
• Never shared with any third-party service
• Not included in iCloud Backup unless you have enabled iCloud Backup for all apps in your iOS settings
• Permanently deleted when you uninstall the app

5. Third-Party Services

ReceiptsBox does not use any third-party advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs. The app does not integrate with any social media platforms.

The only third-party involvement is Apple's standard iOS platform services (e.g., crash reporting via Xcode Organizer), which are governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy.

6. Website Data (techbooster.com.au)

Our website uses Vercel Web Analytics and standard server access logs to understand aggregate site usage and maintain security. When you use the AI assistant, your messages, language preference, a randomly generated session identifier and the assistant's responses are processed by Anthropic and stored in our Neon database so we can provide, operate and improve the support experience. Please do not enter sensitive personal, financial or confidential information into the chat.

If you explicitly ask to be contacted through the AI assistant, the name, email address or phone number and project or repair interest you provide are stored as an enquiry for our team to follow up. If you contact us by email, we retain your email address and message content to respond. We do not sell this information or add you to a marketing list without explicit consent. You may request access, correction or deletion by contacting privacy@techbooster.com.au.

7. Children's Privacy

ReceiptsBox is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. As ReceiptsBox collects no personal data at all, there is no risk of inadvertent collection from minors.

8. Your Rights

Because ReceiptsBox stores all data locally on your device, you have full control at all times:

• Delete individual receipts or all data from within the app
• Uninstall the app to permanently erase all app data
• Revoke camera or photo library permissions at any time via iOS Settings
• Request access, correction or deletion of website chat and enquiry records by contacting privacy@techbooster.com.au

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app or website following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
